Bicycling is getting about on 2 wheels under only the rider&#039;s power, and the constraints (for comfort, maneuverability, speed, storage, etc.) should be imposed by the purpose (pleasure, commuting, racing, etc.).  For racing, speed (you would think) would be primary--and the fastest racers would be riding the fastest bikes (and the fastest bikes are not diamond frames).

Sadly, the ICU exclusions seem to become the public paradigm.  Therefore a lot of the riding public is slower and less comfortable than they need to be; and maybe that&#039;s why more of the public doesn&#039;t ride.

I suppose we should be glad the ICU didn&#039;t limit technology earlier--we&#039;d still be riding penny farthings.</description>
